Enabling The
Server's Self Signup Feature:
Post-A-Board comes
with a set of "Self Signup" Web pages that enable you, as
Adminstrator, to give potential Message Board Managers the ability of
signing up for their own message boards, a process which relieves you
of the job of creating message boards.
To enable the Self
Signup feature, click the "Enable Self Signup" check box so
that it is checked, as shown below:

You can view the
Self Signup pages by clicking the "View' button.
The Self Signup
pages are basic forms that will allow the Manager to specify the type
of board he or she wants, as well as other items that would normally
be specified by the Administrator when the "New Board"
button is clicked.
Link the Self
Signup page to your Web site, so visitors can come and read about
Post-A-Board, then sign up for a board themselves if they wish.
By clicking
"Self Signup Configuration" on the Administration
Control Panel, you can choose to display your own Title Image
and Title Text on these pages, as well as specify a return link that
will take visitors back to your main Web site.
Setting The
Price Schedule For Message Boards:

Enter the monthly
fee you wish to charge for the two types of pay Message Boards,
boards with no advertising and boards whose Managers can put up their
own advertisements or announcements.
When you have made
the changes you want, click the Apply Changes button to
implement them.
Setting Title
and Title Image:

Title Image:
Enter the full URL to the image you want to display as the Title
Image at the top of your message board. Alternatively, you can put
the image in the Post-A-Board "\boardweb" folder on your
hard drive, and enter only "/titleimage.gif", where
"titleimage" should be the name of the actual image file.

Title Text:
Enter the message board Title here.

Show Image
Only Check Box: If this box is checked when you click the
Apply Changes button, only the Title Image will be displayed on your
message board, the Title Text will be ignored.
When you have made
the changes you want, click the Apply Changes button to
implement them.
Setting the
Home Page Return Link and Image:

URL For Home
Page Link: Enter the full URL to the page you want people to
return to after visiting your board. For example, "http://www.myserver.com/".

Text For
Home Page Link: Enter the text that should be hyperlinked for
your return link. For example, "Home".

Image For
Home Page Link: If you want to display an image for your
return link, enter the full URL of the image here.

Link Target:
If you use your message board within HTML Frames, you'll need to set
the window Target that the Browser will use to display your return
page. "Top" should be used for non-Frame Web pages.

Show Image
Only Check Box: If this box is checked when you click the
Apply Changes button, only the Return Image will be displayed on your
message board, the Link Text will be ignored.
When you have made
the changes you want, click the Apply Changes button to
implement them.
